A qualified teacher and co-founder of Clarence Recruitment, Alan combines extensive education sector knowledge with 20 years’ recruitment experience. Having successfully transitioned from teaching into recruitment, he brings first-hand insight into the challenges faced by schools, colleges and education professionals, enabling him to deliver informed, practical and effective recruitment solutions.

Alongside his leadership responsibilities, Alan remains actively involved in day-to-day recruitment, supporting clients and candidates throughout every stage of the hiring process. His hands-on approach, market expertise and focus on achieving the right outcomes ensure that schools and job seekers receive a professional, responsive and tailored service.

Mia oversees the core business functions that support our people and underpin our financial and regulatory responsibilities. Mia ensures the business operates effectively, compliantly, and responsibly. Her experience includes senior roles across healthcare and education recruitment, compliance and payroll. Mia also holds substantial experience in apprenticeship delivery and learner support at Level 7 for SLT within educational settings and has contributed to a successful Ofsted inspection.

As our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mia offers substantial experience to our clients and us, supporting every aspect of safeguarding.

Mia also acts as a key advisor to Clarence Recruitment and our clients, drawing on her extensive knowledge of government policy, public-sector frameworks, apprenticeship schemes and compliance standards. She is committed to upholding best-practice standards across the business and supporting clients across the education, public sector and commercial environments with trusted and expert guidance.

Today, Naomi brings this breadth of commercial and operational experience to Clarence Recruitment as Business Operations & Transformation Manager. Her role encompasses business operations, systems and technology, process improvement, project management, marketing and client experience, helping the business build robust foundations for sustainable growth.
